17 Years of Supporting Entrepreneurs in the UAE: Reflections from Keren Jadhav
Keren Jadhav
Managing director & CEO of My Business Consulting DMCC
Seventeen years ago, My Business Consulting DMCC was founded with a simple belief: businesses grow faster when they have the right guidance, strong relationships, and the confidence to move forward.
Since then, I have had the privilege of working with entrepreneurs, investors, family businesses, and international companies from more than 120 countries entering and expanding within the UAE market.
Every conversation, challenge, and success story has reinforced one belief that has remained constant throughout my career:
Business is never only about business. It is about people, trust, resilience, and the ability to adapt and continue moving forward through change.
As we celebrate seventeen years of My Business Consulting DMCC, I would like to share a few reflections on what this journey has taught me about success in the UAE.
Success Is Rarely Instant
One of the biggest misconceptions in business is that success happens quickly. We often see the result — a successful company, a thriving entrepreneur, or a growing investment portfolio — but rarely the years of persistence behind it.
The most successful business owners I have met are not necessarily those who had the easiest journey. They are the ones who remained committed to their goals, adapted when circumstances changed, and continued moving forward when progress felt slow.
In my experience, sustainable success is built through consistency, patience, and long-term thinking.
Great Businesses Are Built by Great People
Throughout my career, one belief has remained unchanged: businesses do not grow because of systems or technology alone. They grow because of people.
One of the most rewarding aspects of leadership is watching individuals develop confidence, take ownership, and grow into leaders themselves.
Over time, I have learned that successful organisations are not built by managing people. They are built by creating an environment where people can contribute, develop, and succeed together.
Relationships Matter More Than Transactions
Technology has transformed the way we do business, but trust remains one of the most valuable assets any company can build.
Many of our clients come through referrals from existing clients and partners. To me, that remains one of the strongest indicators of success.
Whether supporting company formation in Dubai, assisting entrepreneurs and investors entering the UAE market, helping businesses navigate corporate bank account opening, or supporting established companies as they grow, long-term relationships built on transparency and reliability will always create greater value than short-term transactions.
The Right Guidance Can Change the Outcome
Over the years, I have seen many businesses succeed not because they had the largest budgets or the most ambitious plans, but because they made the right decisions at the right time.
Entering a new market, selecting the right corporate structure, navigating banking requirements, or responding to regulatory changes often involves decisions that can influence a company’s future for years to come.
Experience cannot eliminate uncertainty, but it can help businesses avoid costly mistakes, recognise opportunities earlier, and move forward with greater confidence.
Compliance Has Become a Competitive Advantage
One of the most significant changes I have witnessed in the UAE business landscape is the growing importance of compliance.
Corporate tax, financial reporting, governance, banking requirements, and regulatory transparency are no longer simply obligations. They have become indicators of credibility and business maturity.
The companies best positioned for long-term success are those that invest in strong foundations, operate transparently, and understand that compliance supports growth rather than restricts it.
Looking Ahead
The future of the UAE remains incredibly exciting. The country continues to attract talent, investment, and innovation from around the world, creating opportunities that were difficult to imagine seventeen years ago.
While industries and technologies will continue to evolve, I believe the foundations of long-term success will remain unchanged: trust, adaptability, strong relationships, and a commitment to continuous growth.
As we celebrate seventeen years of My Business Consulting DMCC, I would like to thank our clients, partners, government authorities, banking partners, and team members for being part of this journey.
The opportunities continue to grow. The market continues to evolve. And the next chapter of the UAE success story is only just beginning.
